Rejoice the Hands

 My current favorite jewelry designer is Ana Saldana aka Rejoice the Hands. Her work is beautiful. All credit for awesomeness is all hers.

Rejoice the Hands vision is to produce jewelry that gives the impression of having been created in a different time, for the jewels to appear as if they were discovered in lost burial grounds, or dug deep from within a tomb.

Drawing from her own Aztec roots, Rejoice the Hands designer, Ana Saldana creates everlasting culturally inspired pieces to keep you internally united with Father Sky and Mother Earth.

Freedom in Solitude

This is an amazing photo shoot that coveys the freedom and solitude one can experience in their own home. I enjoy being a homebody myself so I really identified with this shoot. Besides the fact that they are in breathtaking Byron Bay Australia, their home is a beautiful paradise and the model  Fa' Empel is mesmerizing. Spell and the Gypsy blow me away with the feelings they instil with their clothing and jewelry, and their lookbooks  invoke notions of freedom and joy. We never know where the gypsy wanderlust calls home but I like to imagine them in magical places like these.

Fun Fact! ~*Herkimer diamonds are very special crystals, they come out of the ground naturally double terminated, they look like they were cut by a gemologist and are 500 million years old. The bedrock in which the crystals are found began forming in a shallow Cambrian Sea that lapped against the southern shores of the ancestral Adirondack Mountains (near the town of Herkimer, New York). They were once living creatures that looked like sea fans. The carbon that was once that living organism over time was turned into a beautiful crystal! Amazing. I have mined these crystals in Herkimer and it is such an amazing experience! If you ever get the chance I recommend it! OR~ you can just buy one of these incredible rings <<<>>>
